As long as you are over the age of 19, and have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 12 months, you are eligible to join Co Wheels.
However, please be aware that some further restrictions also apply.
- If you are aged 25 or under, you must possess a clean licence, with 0 points or endorsements.
- Applicants over the age of 26 must have no more than 6 points issued on their driving licence.
- If you have been disqualified from driving at any point, you are not eligible for membership.
- If you have been involved in 2 or more accidents within the last 3 years, you are not eligible for membership.
- If you have had theft claims in the last three years.
- If you are a professional sportsperson, model, itinerant worker or member of the entertainment profession.
Drivers Not Insured:
- Provisional licence holders.
- Drivers aged under 19 years
- Drivers aged 24 or under when the vehicle being hired has a seating capacity of nine or more, in addition to the driver's seat.
- Drivers with more than 6points
- Drivers who have held a licence for less than 12 months
- Drivers under the age of 25 residing in M3, M5, M6,M7,M8,M25,M28,M38,M39,M44 & NE8 postcode areas
Drivers with the following convictions on their licences will not be insured:
UT50; CD30; CD40; CD50; CD60; CD70; CD71; DD40; DD60; DD80; DR10; DR20; DR30; DR31; DR40; DR50; DR60; DR61; DR70; DR80 or DR90.
