Co Wheels operate a national network, so members can travel to other locations by train or other means of transport and then hop into a Co Wheels car at the other end (as long as the vehicle is returned to the same designated bay at the end of hire).
There’s no limit to the distance you can take a car in the UK.
You can also travel abroad in a Co Wheels car, with correct documentation and breakdown cover.
- Firstly, you must book the car before applying to take it abroad.
- You will then need to contact Co Wheels for us to complete a Ve103b Form, with an accompanying letter of authorization from us.
- You will need to contact Co Wheels in relation breakdown cover as this is a mandatory requirement for taking a vehicle abroad.
Please note that you are liable for costs associated with this process and to ensure the vehicle meets the legal requirements of the nation state that you are travelling to.
Please note we strongly discourage the use of Co Wheels vehicles within underground car parks. The reason behind this recommendation stems from the possibility of encountering signal complications, which could lead to a disruption in communication between the vehicle and the network. Co Wheels cars operate on a mobile signal ranging from 2G to 4G. Consequently, any signal disruptions within an underground car park may necessitate the retrieval and recovery of the vehicle.
